People with disability seeking employment in the Gold Coast have a new service provider to help them find work.
Enterprise and Training Company Limited (ETC) will be delivering Disability Employment Services (DES), on behalf of the Department of Social Services, in Palm Beach, Robina, Nerang, Southport, Helensvale and Coomera from July 1 2018.
ETC’s Gold Coast Regional Manager of Employment Tony Eager said the organisation is excited to be building on its existing employment and training services in the region with the delivery of the new DES contract.
“ETC has been delivering employment and training services on the Gold Coast for the past three years and we are very excited to be offering this specialised service for people with disability,” Mr Eager said.
“ETC has a proven track record, having helped more than 60,325 people find jobs and trained more than 31,399 people over the past 29 years.”
Mr Eager said that not only would job seekers benefit from the service, but local employers would also receive support.
“There are wage incentives and assistance with workplace modifications available for employers, as well as ongoing support,” said Mr Eager.
“People with disability will benefit from ETC’s strong ties with major employers in the region. We can help create and shape jobs suited to their skills and abilities, organise any training required and support them once they’re in a job.”
